The Analyst ReviewThe Analyst is a political, action thriller that leads you through the tightrope of Middle East relations. President Omar Sanjar's hopes of forming a lasting Middle East peace are shattered when the American delegation is kidnapped.Their captors' ransom demands present a moral dilemma that threatens to plunge the Middle East into a nuclear war. Conrad's role is transformed from CIA advisor to agent as he tries to rescue Sanjar and warn Israel of the impending missile attack.

Ignorance By Choice ReviewEnjoyed this book. The thing that made it a stand out to me was that the characters, even the murderous and evil Charles, were so multi-dimensional. I read a lot in this genre and don't often find the villain someone I feel empathy towards--and it has nothing to do with his politics. I enjoyed that there was more to Charles than his psychopathic murders. It made me care about him, while still hating him. I found it disturbing in a way and interesting that he was so humanized, rather than just the looming evil. I am also always one for the fast pace, page turning search for the killer and this did not disappoint.Ignorance By Choice OverviewCharles, a passionate family man, isprepared to protect his children andcountry from the lies and manipulations ofdangerous right wing extremists, whopromote their own propaganda, blindlyelecting and following politicians, neverquestioning beyond the media outletsestablished to further their cause. Charlesbegins a huntsman's murderous journey tocull his envisioned herd of extremism withcalculating precision and extremeprejudice during a tumultuous time in thecountry he loves so dearly. Seasoned FBIAgent, Cooper Maze, is tasked withbringing this calculating serial killer ofmeans to justice. Agent Maze is assigned toprofile, investigate, and apprehend thesuspect in order to stop the ever increasinggruesome trail. A race begins to identify themotive and choices for executions thatleave no evidence except for contentiousemails and famous quotes sent from thevictims' computers. No one is safe.

The hero, Derek Stillwater, is a step above other thriller heros because he has a human side, not the perfect world saving robot that other authors use. I highly recommend this book to any thriller fan.
