Claws ReviewI too admit that I am a Beta-reader for this book. I think that, if I'd seen this book advertised, I never would have picked it up. I too am a cat (and dog) lover and have an aversion to reading anything that discusses harming animals. BUT--THESE ARE MUTANTS. These are not your regular domesticated cats. These are killers. I say, kill 'em all!
Ricky Sides has taken a tough subject and turned it into a very readable book. I didn't know what to expect as a Beta reader; I'd never done it before. I fully expected a poorly-written, error-laden manuscript that I'd have a hard time wading through, but I was pleasantly--and amazingly--surprised. It's a really good story. It moves along smoothly, it progresses well, and I was totally sucked into it and didn't want to stop reading till it was done.
At $2.99, this book is a bargain. Grab it while you can; the price is sure to go up once people discover just how good it is!
I haven't read any of Ricky's other books, but now I have to. I just have to. He's that good a storyteller.
