Hand of Hope The Story Behind The Picture ReviewThis is my first review ever but was compeled to comment on this one. I'm a big fan of true life stories. Fiction just bores me. (love Erin Brockovich, hate Harry Potter).I saw this picture several years ago and heard bits and pieces of the story behind it but I didn't understand it, until it was all layed out before me at once. Wow! This book was an easy read and hard to put down. This is a modern day "Daniel in the lions den" story. God bless you Michael for taking a stand. The world needs to see what is hidden from them everyday.Hand of Hope The Story Behind The Picture OverviewPhotojournalist Michael Clancy captured the picture of a lifetime when Samuel reached from his mother's womb and squeezed the finger of his surgeon during fetal surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. The picture became embroiled in controversy when Dr. Joseph Bruner told Tennessean Newspaper reporter Bill Snyder, "Depending on your political point of view this is either Samuel Armas reaching out of the uterus and touching the finger of a fellow human, or it's me pulling his hand out of the uterus ... which is what I did."
