Cat and Mouse A Second Cajun Tale ReviewJim Theall nails the Cajun world to a T. I felt like one of the guys as good old southern Louisiana Cajun conversation flowed naturally and consistently in Cat and Mouse: a second Cajun tale. Cat Touchette is a stubborn feller cranky about his age. He's tough on the bad guys but always a trusted and loyal friend. If I were to assign keywords to the novel I'd say it was a rollicking, rowdy, romp through heat and humidity. Jim Theall's tale is an enjoyable and entertaining read.Cat and Mouse A Second Cajun Tale OverviewCat and his friends are back! The rich, cantankerous, narcissistic, but generous, septuagenarian Cajun, Clarence 'Cat" Touchette, helps when his friend, Crosby 'Souris" Babineaux finds his son in a coma at the family's marine transportation company.Cat begins probing, discovers unusual business practices by Souris' son, and scrutinizes a sleazy crew aboard a vessel chartered by a mysterious company.Cat receives a call threatening his household unless he stops meddling, but he ignores the warning after identifying the caller.Someone kidnaps his granddaughter and Cat discovers thriving illegal enterprises in Louisiana Cajun country.Cat's fiancée, Delores angers him when she inexplicably withholds her affections. They argue and his life is turned up side down.In this sequel to Cat and Dog, A Cajun Tale, James Ory Theall‘s second novel of the series moves two story lines forward with entertaining dialogue as readers feelthe characters' love, sadness, and tragedy.Contains some strong language and descriptions of violence.Author's note:I am a bred and born Acadian, and I love writing about the Cajun characters I have created from a composite of people I have known throughout my 78 years.I have no mortgage or car payments, and I am not destitute.I have an excellent credit rating, and my taxes are paid.So why do I write? It is my passion, and as much as I would like to be a best-selling author, I only seek to break even so that I can afford to start my next project.I want you to buy my book because I think you will enjoy reading it, give it a kind review, and provide me with tremendous gratification and pleasure. Try it - you'll like it!James Ory Theall
