Conspiracy in the Shadows ReviewI was surprised at the pace in which I read this book. I am typically not a very fast reader, but I could not put it down! The story line and charcters are very well set up and draw you in as you root for the good guys and learn to dispise the bad guys. A true page turner.Conspiracy in the Shadows OverviewOn the mean streets of L.A., conspiracy lurks around every corner. A routine traffic stop by two average cops turns into the most interesting investigation of their careers. When Bobby and J.R. pull over a criminal they're familiar with for not having a current license plate, they uncover a wealth of illegal goods in his trunk: stolen computer equipment, pirated movies and software, and the most surprising, a kilo of cocaine, an amount unusually large for Big Ray. When they catch up with Ray's seller, they find that somewhere lies a Chinese passageway. With a good lead and information no else has been able to get, they are assigned to the massive case involving the DEA, the Justice Department, and the FBI. They spend hours following the criminals and soon discover just what they need to get in to the criminal organization and link the conspirators. But the organization is one step ahead, and Bobby is forced to constantly keep on the run with the help of J.R.
