Lost In The Sun ReviewHello, this is the author. I included a description with the book which apparently takes time for Amazon servers to link up to this site, but not seeing much value in a book with a title and nothing more, let me include the same descriptive overview for anyone who stumbles on this (by mistake I'm sure!)...happy reading.

Product Description:
The director of a $20 billion international high-tech giant's Silicon Valley technology center and Silicon Valley luminary, Waring has leapt onto the Kindle scene with his first novel, an adventure spanning continents and ages, weaving a thread from brutal pre-Inca civilizations clawing out an existence in the jungles of the Andes to present day London, Spain, and modern Peru. Here, political intrigue, ancient beliefs and secrets, and a modern Inca dynasty who's leader is bent on power, all collide head on with the investigations of two of Europe's leading experts on Inca history, whose discovery in a university library archive leads one to the other, and both to Peru, and onto a path that holds more discoveries, a serendipitous friendship with a local American, and an inexorable involvement with the shadow organizations which have cards in play that may put the entire country's future in peril, and place the three colleagues' actions in the sights of those who would use their discovery for their own aims.
How will they survive the forces swirling around them, both ancient and modern?
Who can they trust, the stranger who appears at their motel at night with vague warnings, or one of their own university's deans, who has ties himself with some of those in power in Peru that may be behind their problems?
Or ultimately, perhaps their own instincts, and the clues they hold in their hands, which may lead them to answers to the questions that everyone wants to control.
Whichever they choose they must rely on one another, overcoming their doubts and fears. They follow one another up a narrow path into the mountains, taking a chance on their local American's recollection which proves prescient. From there, to another discovery in the middle of a tourist scoured mountainside ruin.
But here the cards suddenly fall the wrong way for them all, placing one into the hands of the Inca family pulling strings all around them, and throwing the others at once into a desperate and dangerous game to find him on their own, fearing the very government they might ask for help is deeply corrupted by the same group responsible for their colleague's disappearance.
It may be that their only hope for survival lies in figuring out the meaning of the items tucked in their bags, and uncovering what may be the key to the mystery which brought them here.
