Basilisk (Korsak Brothers) ReviewI am a huge Rob Thurman fan and could not wait for this sequel. Although I discovered her through the urban fantasy genre, this book, which is a sequel to the book Chimera, is not in the urban fantasy category. It is just an old fashioned thriller, one that has a little science fiction element, but actually reminds me of Michael Chricton. Thriller books with a twist to give it a kick.
The relationship between these two brothers is at the heart of the story but it was great reading how they have each grown, together and on their own. I also love the character of Saul, and was really glad to see him back in such a major way.
I don't want to say to much, I don't want to give the story away, but as usual, Ms. Thurman throws in twists and turns that turn the story on it's head more than once. (See her trickster books, The Trick of the Light, and Grimrose Path, such fun) Anyway, the action was non-stop and it is a great book for anyone who likes a thriller book with more than non-stop action, but great characters that you fall in love with as well.
By the way if you read this book on Kindle, they put the line about checking out the other author's books in the wrong place, it is before the epilogue.
